Daniel B. Sarpong (PhD) is an Associate Professor and former Dean, School of Agriculture, University of Ghana, Legon-Accra, Ghana and was a member of the High Level Panel of Experts (HLPE) on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) of the UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS) of the FAO for the session 2019-2021. Daniel’s research focus is on agricultural development and smallholder farmers, agriculture and nutrition, climate change, farming systems and technology adoption. His research focus is on Ghana and Africa in general. Daniel was three times the Chair/Head, Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, University of Ghana between 2006 and 2017, and then Vice Dean. He serves on several Boards at the University. He has published several journal articles, technical publications and other reports and has supervised PhD, MPhil and Bachelor students for their dissertations. He has international research collaborators and has been widely consulted.
